Apple released iOS 10, the latest version of its software for iPhones and iPads, this morning.
You can download it now, but I advise you to not do so.
Many people on social media have alert me that the update process isn’t going as smoothly as it had in the past.
Several iPhone users stated that the upgrade process is failing. The update is asking them to plug their phones into iTunes.
If you update your mobile device and you’re not by a computer, that means you may not be able to use your phone until you find a desktop with an installed iTunes.
We’ll alert you when you can download the software. In the meantime, let’s review some of the features that we can’t wait to see in iOS 10:
- It finally lets you uninstall some of the stock apps, like… Stocks, iWatch.
- If you want to check on your notifications without pushing buttons, you can use the new ‘raise to wake’ feature.
- More than 100 new emojis have been added in iOS 10.
- If you’ve ever wanted to use your iPhone as a magnifying glass, the new Magnifier setting in Accessibility turns your iPhone camera into a giant magnifying glass with a super-zoom, flashlight, brightness and contrast filter, and more.
Tip: Back up all your data on iCloud or iTunes before upgrading to iOS 10.
