By | July 15, 2015

Like eBay? Many people do. There’s something so fun about winning items at auction. You can get great deals on what you are looking for and enjoy the thrill of winning an auction. If you like eBay then you’ll certainly like these other auction sites we’ve found for you.

Some of these bidding sites are specific to one type of item and others sell many types of items. But each offer great deals and the fun of bidding on auctions – just like eBay does. We hope this “Best of” list helps you find some new favorites!

1. Bidz

Marilyn Monroe once said “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” We couldn’t agree more. And if you could use a few more “friends,” then Bidz is the auction place for you – it’s all about jewelry. You’ll find high quality gold and sterling silver jewelry with gemstones and diamonds at great deals. One of the really fun things about Bidz? You are bidding live –  often competing against others to win that lovely bauble you admire.

2. Bid 4 Assets

This auction site is a place where you’ll find “high value items.” There are items put up by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Government (local, state and federal). Find property, land, homes – sometimes starting just at a dollar. Remember if you are buying a home and/or land there will be annual taxes to pay. Many great items here from collectables, cars and vehicles and so much more.

3. eBid Online Auctions

At eBid Online Auctions you’ll find a wide variety of items. Actually more than 2 million items here. Great values and all the fun of buying items at auction. Bid against others to win that desired item you want. Top items include photography equipment, musical instruments, sport memorabilia & cards and sporting goods. More than 10 thousand categories to search through – there’s something for everyone.

4. BidZillion

If you like electronics and gadgets then BidZillion is for you. You’ll find great deals on all the hottest and latest electronics at BidZillions. From Wii bundles and games to 50 inch plasma 3D HDTV. So many great electronics to find and win at BidZillion!

5. ShopGoodwill

At first glance this website looks very simple. Give them a chance! As an auction site they are terrific – and your winning bids go to help people in need just like any purchase at a Goodwill Thrift Store. Find high end items like antiques, art, cameras, jewelry and collectibles. There are many other things people like to look for such as holiday items, musical instruments, religious items, sports, tools and toys and games.

6. Amazon

Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer, even larger than eBay. It was named after the Amazon rainforest, the largest rainforest in the world. It started as an online bookstore, but soon began to sell DVDs, CDs, video and MP3 downloads, software, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and jewelry. The company also produces consumer electronics. Notably the Amazon Kindle e-book reader and the Kindle Fire tablet computer. You can easily become a seller on Amazon and set prices for your own things you want sold. Of course Amazon will take a piece of the cake!

7. Craigslist

Craigslist is a classified advertisements website with sections devoted to jobs, housing, personals, items for sale, items wanted, services, community, gigs, resumes, and discussion forums. You can sell just about everything and anything you like on Craigslist. The rules are very relaxed (unless it’s spam) and unlike any other site they are mostly enforced by the community itself. The only downside is that all of the buyer searches are done by location so you’ll only be reaching people in your area.
